PATRIARCHE, mindful of ensuring accessibility for the greatest number of people, has undertaken for several years, and continues to carry out compliance studies and works on accessibility for those with reduced mobility.
Despite everything, the premises present numerous difficulties to be overcome in order to be totally accessible.
Located in a former 17th century convent, PATRIARCHE produces wines and allows visitors from all over the world to browse its cellars according to the constraints of the premises (not a lot of light, several floors, winding routes, stairs, etc.). The layout is made difficult due to the nature of the buildings with their historical character. However, a series of works has begun to make the premises and reception area accessible to the greatest number of visitors. These works are accompanied by a comprehensive reflection carried out with approved bodies and the City in order to preserve both the heritage and comfort of our clientele.
Throughout the year, come and discover our world unaccompanied or accompanied (see our services). The accessibility of the premises to those with reduced mobility is different depending on the levels (ground floor or cellars). Do not hesitate to contact us in advance to find out the possibilities.
Parking: access and parking in our grand courtyard is free, one parking space for those with reduced mobility is reserved close to the entrance.
Reception area: our staff will be pleased to assist you upon your arrival. Informing us of your visit will allow us to take the necessary measures in order to reserve the best possible welcome for you. The reception desk uses a lowered desk in accordance with the regulatory standard.
Toilets: the toilets located in the cellars have been renovated in accordance with regulations.
Note: access to the toilets is impossible for those unable to visit the cellars.
Access to the Convent section on the ground floor: for those in a wheelchair and accompanied, a detachable ramp is available at the entrance and upon request in order to bypass the three steps of the reception area. Access is thus possible for the ground floor only, the lightning gallery, chapel, our shop area and the Great Wines area, a special place for tasting reserved for you.
Access to the basement: the cellars may unfortunately not be visited by people in a motorised wheelchair and/or those unable to move or walk a few steps. The studies carried out by approved bodies have determined that accessibility through installing a lift in the vaults of the 17th century cellars would endanger the structure of the buildings and spoil their historical character (exceptions N°5 and N°7 of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Safety and Accessibility dated 04/12/2015).
It should be noted for the tour in the cellars, for those with walking difficulties: the route comprises 400 metres with steps of different heights and directions whose description is as follows: access by the chapel: 17 steps, 200-metre street-level routes then 8 steps on the 2nd passage below street level, followed by 4 then 3 and 2 steps. Access to the toilets from the cellar by 17 steps. Tasting room preceded by 3 steps. At the visitors' exit, 4 steps then 8 steps. Lastly, 17 steps before reaching the shop area on the ground floor.
In all cases, for your comfort and the best possible welcome, it is recommended that you inform us of your visit by contacting us on 03.80.24.53.78; we also thank you for presenting yourself to our reception staff upon your arrival.
We offer the access to our "Freedom tour" to disabled persons (upon presentation of their card).
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.
